more hps...need help

whats up guys???wondering what moods i can do 2 my stock motor(d15b2) to give it a lil more horsepower...like what cams ,carbs..ect im on a tight budget so everything i get has 2 be off other d-series motor...any help would be helpfull...thanks for da help :D 8)

    1. Convert from DPFI to MPFI...this is a 10 real hp.
    2. Intake/Header/Exhaust...makes less than advertised in the magazines...maybe 6-8
    You'll be looking at something in the ball park of 108-110 flywheel HP.

    You don't have carbs...what you have is simple version of fuel injection (DPFI). It's basically a downdraft carb that uses a pair of fuel injectors instead of jets/needles/emulsion tubes
    Its tuned for fuel economy so get rid of it ASAP.

    Cams are fun, but they usually require a tradeoff (like mpg or driveability) before you see real improvements.

    I like the feel of a lightened flywheel but it requires removing the transmission, which is more trouble than its worth...but I highly recommend it if your transmission is coming out for any other reason.

    Have you considered Nitrous? Used responsibly, it will safely do what you're asking for.
    Cheap to get into ($500)...cheap is a relative term in the auto mod world.
