pprue's 90 DX

I've had my wagon about a year now, I've cleaned and cleaned. New windshield. Passenger mirror from New York. Sent my delete to Florida. Painted trim. Tinted the windows, tuned up, timing belt, fluid changes, 5 oil changes so far. New struts and axles. Not going to raise or lower it. New pedal pads, Brakes all around. Added a Honda accord rear lip on my front. Wal-mart cup holder mod. Driver side window regulator which led to re-tinting the window cause I scratched the piss out of it.
No engine mods just lots of love and cleaning. Painted my 13" steelies and put on new tires, a month later bought some 14" Celica rims and bought another set of tires for those. Broke down because of my switch-replaced it. a/c lasted about two month before clutch went out. New rear dome light cover. Ordered custom seat covers in hopes of one day getting a decent drivers seat and going back OE. The head unit was installed by a monkey, reinstalled the Kenwood head unit and added 4-6.5 JBL's and a boss ten inch woofer under my passenger seat, sounds awesome to me granted I'm a 40 year old "has been" car stereo installer. Just added sirius sat radio two weeks ago. That woofer is awesome if installed properly. It's not going to run you out of the car nor rattle the one next to you but what it does do is kick up the base that the 6.5's can't. I drive her approx. 200 miles a weekend and have had no problems, I can tool around town or beat it down the interstate, the car constantly pumps out 32 to 33 mpg. I've replaced every oem part i can find all the way down to the rubber button that goes on the odometer reset shaft on the cluster. She came from Georgia so there is virtually no rust. I've got service records up till 1997 then what happened from there was evident when I acquired the vehicle. Hopefully I can un-do whats been done and give her a happy life.
I didn't take as many picture in the beginning that I should but I didn't realize that I was going to be consumed by this little modern marvel.
This is what she looked liked after i got her home and began the many cleanings

Seat covers

Just got the windows tinted.

New rack from a 90's pathfinder.

New Rack and Celica rims.

testing the rack

Cheating Death photo shoot.

hondacivicwagon.com is a great sight and I would have took the hard way on several occasions if not for the guidance provided here.
This car has definitely Been Around !
I need to vacuum it out.

The head unit has its own sub-woofer controller, once I got them dialed in together I was pretty impressed.
I may just be easy to please.

I did the pods myself. They are from lotusthermoforming.com 3D logics is what they call them. They have to be removed to change bulbs but to me its an even swap for a better sounding stereo.

I'd love to swap up to a peppier motor one day that is if I ever build up my confidence. Right now I hate to risk giving up the ability to jump in her and go across town or across the state anytime I want with no worries for sitting in the driveway trying figure out what got crossed up or why this or that is not working or starting.

I can't wait til the day I can take mine for its first drive. We're taking a lot of stuff off/out of mine. If ya need anything, I'm just a couple hours from ya. Need a cruise control set-up? It got pulled the first night.
Thanks! Those covers came from precisionfit.com in Colorado. I've been satisfied with them so far but to me theres nothing like stock.
Thanks! I thought so too. I still hope to get my hands on some nice Honda wheels, always on the look out for a good deal. I'll let you know on that cruise control.
It's 15%. Its about as dark as the shops around here will go. Its illegal for the driver and passenger doors, they have to be like 32%. You can go as dark as you like in Alabama from the front two doors back because it's a wagon but I wanted an even look to the tint.
Usually if you want darker you have to find someone who's willing to do it on the side.
Thanks for the comment.
Sweet. Cause I think that that looks really good. I was going to do 20% all the way around but ill see if I can go 15% cause its just that extra little bit darker that would make the differnce. Also how hard was the pathfinder roof rack to put on?
It wasn't hard at all. The rails that run front to back were perfect. I mounted them first, just like I removed them from the pathfinder. I used the same rubber seals and the self tapping screws that were on the pathfinder. On the side to side cross bars I had to disassemble the 4 that sit on the roof and the two larger cross bars and trim them to the width of the wagons roof. I also had to trim the rubber that protects the roof on the smaller crossbars. Once I had them the right width I made sure they would slide in the channels and adjust properly. I re-drilled my screw holes and re-assembled all the cross bar mounting tabs, installed them on the rails and adjusted them evenly across the roof. It took about an hour.
It made it look like a different car.
rear 12v plug
While I was at it-went up front and got rid of that gigantic Sirius Sat. plug too.
Brand new carpet.
it's already been well used and is serving its purpose.
I did this to my wagon two weeks ago. What socket did you use?
They have a sticky back. I stuck them on the inside and ran the wire up to the side markers.
on em?!
Love the wheels...
mine do too.
got them from qualitycarmats.com If you want to get some from there I would contact laura@qualitycarmats.com and tell her you want wagon mats and I'm sure she'll know exactly what you need.
Headed out to work in the snow. Christmas Day 2010.
Thanks! I was super happy with the way they look. I bought them knowing one was damaged and it kinda made me nervous, I made the repair and mounted them and the ripped one fit perfect. Can't tell there was ever any damage. The mud flaps that is. Happy with the rims too.
(did the silvers come in rt4wd?)
where did you get the seat covers?
did you trim the rhino mat from a set for another car?
when i searched for "rhino mat" i found this:
http://perfectmats.com/rhinomats.php
there are new wagon floormats.
(you have to enter the info)
nope.. (well, in Canada and elsewhere in the world, yes.)
Thanks for checking her out.
