  • I have a downdraft carb'd ZC with a Weber 32/36 DGEV on it.

You could start with the jdm dual carb'd ZC, but its not going to impress anyone. They are not very tuneable and the power output was at least 10hp shy of the fuel injected version.
And at this point, those carbs would be nearly twenty years old...probably needs to be rebuilt (or at least freshened up). And where do you think you would get those parts?

You're much better off buying a regular ZC and getting some sidedraft Webers. They have a whole lot more tuning potential than oem, and parts are relatively easy to find.
But carbs are hard to to tune (synchronize and calibrate) especially the sidedrafts.
The downdrafts are supposedly easier, but you'll sacrifice a little power for the simplicity. Check out the Weber 38 DGES.
