will you take the wagon to the EE meet at the Ring?
no I wont, I cant afford to[/quote:2wrtml3k]
ok, aren't you going at all?
I can get you a really nice an cheap hotel if you need to![/quote:2wrtml3k]
lol if I cant afford to go I cant afford to go full stop
would be nice, but im not sure my car will be ready either, and cant foot the bill for fuel and ferry myself, and my mates wont be able to get time off work either. its an expensive trip that i cant do right now. i am planning to drive to Amsterdam at the end of September though, so may go to the Ring then
Few pictures, as I haven't really updated in a while, I'll get pictures next week how it's now looking. 8)
New air filter... its for a CRX 1.6 16v non-vtec, but it looks a different shape?
New radiator...
Front fog covers put on, as I can't figure out or find time to check why one isn't working...
I've sorted out the CRX seat. The Shuttle seats are very shallow and don't go back far enough, and I can't drive it, very uncomfortable for a 6'5 fella. So I'm going to use a CRX seat, as they are a close match. I had to move the outside runner out by around 10mm. On the inside runner I had to make two simple brackets, then spaced with a nut to clear the other bolts and to bring it level with the other runner, thats had to be bought out by around 35mm. By doing this it made the wire that opens both runners too short, so I had to straighten one end and re-bend it the right length.
So it's going for a big service next week, new clutch, gearbox oil, oil and filter, plugs, brakes, radiator, coolant, pressure check the coolant system too. Then I have some parts to be fitted after I've got the insurance swapped over and got road tax...
- Thule roof bars
- Yakima 90's wind fairing
- Twin bike roof rack
- VT shocks, 1.5X springs (need to source)
- Flare
- Generic cup holders
- JDM front floor mats
- JDM sun visors
- New cam cover
- New stickers all round (being made by Mr.Kutz) and some other tasteful stickers
And I need to spray the manifold heat shield, boot lid strip and sort out the mouldy bump strips.
Also refurbished the set of 15" Black Racing "Watanabes" I have, and gave the tyre walls a buff with black shoe polish, going to put these on too.
Not the best job, but they are super shiney!
Whilst rubbing them down it was obvious they had been refurbished before as there were runs of paint and some lettering has been sanded down too much.

Ok Cool,
let me know, like I said I know a really nice hotel at the Ring for good money
Wow, this build thread is incredible. I don't see how I've missed so much. I really appreciate all the information in this thread as well! I cant wait to start up on my wagon!!
The Shuttle is now on the road and loving life!
I had some issues with the bodywork as my mate who did the welding/spraying for me was a bit careless and put some scratches to it, which has pissed me off.
So I got insurance and road tax last week and have been driving it daily. Hasn't missed a beat! I did a 300mile round trip yesterday and it was flawless, and that used one whole tank of fuel. Which to be honest, is a bit worse than my VT (EE9).
So, I've been starting to add bits n bobs since. Started off putting the roof bars on, and wind fairing. Fitted the CRX drivers seat in, and swaped steering wheels and CD player from my EE9 onto the EE4, then today I put EE9 OE suspension on, and has dropped it nicely, and it handles a lot better, and sits nice and level. It could do with being lower, but it will do for now, as I still need to keep it practical.
VT shocks are on the right.
And here we go!
A Quick pic for you guys...

I need to put the rims on ASAP! But want all the painting done first, as the bodyshop sprayed part of my tyre/alloy wheel.
Not much left to do now...
- Paint calipers and drums black
- Fit wheels and wheel nuts
- Get boot and rear handles painted, and marks sorted
- Fit bike rack
- Put in JDM front floor mats
- New stickers all round, plus a few more extras
- Alarm (2nd September)
Too low! And before you say its not, it is in the UK. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - English roads are fucking dog-shite!! Full of potholes. The wheels are ET30, so it's only just clearing, and I get some tyre scrub on the front when I go over dips in the road etc. The back isn't as low.
I'm using Spax PSX suspension kit from a Civic HB.
I've put new stickers all round, and all parts are painted that needed it. All I need to do now is a hoover, clean and polish, ow! and fit a trim piece that im hoping will arrive tomorrow as Im off to a show on Friday for 3 days
What a day I had yesterday!
I've had to change the front suspension as those Spax were impractical and the tyres scrubed too much for my liking. Lucky I have some spare OE shocks and lowering springs. It's raised the front about 10mm and it makes the world of difference. It feels a lot better now. I fitted the newly colour coded rear handles and given it a hoover, clean, rubbing compound buff and polish, and I'm knakered!!
And I'm now off to a show for the weekend. Think I'll be getting wet.
Damn it looks good! It could do with the front wings being the same colour, but it's no big deal, if they were blue or something then yeh, but as they are pretty similar colour I thought I'd leave it.

Nice lip. From wat car is this? I like the wheels too! 8)
lip is from a Renault Laguna
they do the same lip without vents too, which im trying to get, as it will look more OEM.
a lot of the parts I have sold or are for sale
there are no shuttles at junk yards, the beagle i found was purely a one off.
(I already have a 'Honda' one)
i got them made. what colour do you need?
