Stealth's '91 wagovan, pistachio: the red headed stepchild

ok so i've "owned" a few hondas but none for more than a week i think...i'm not really a honda head, i've always respected and liked them , i tried a crx , an 89 integra , and a 2000 civic ex coupe...none of them got past minor things and then i sold them. I got this civic wagovan in trade for my e30 325is....which i kinda really regret now in hindsight but w/e i'm gonna make the best of it . so far i exchanged the stock cut springs for crx si stocks , and put oem steering wheel, radio, shifknob ,crx si air intake assy. , started to take the paint off the bumpers and paint the trim areas, i cut the boso pipe.... i wasn't feeling it on this car for some reason... i got lowering springs meant for a crx , it's low now with the oem crx si springs but.... anyways plans are to refresh , oem+ feel with some funky janky style... and a bit of performance accented by some wide low offset wheels ...because the rear fenders are already flared :suicide: performance wise i want to make close to 160whp...the motor already has type r pistons , arp rod bolts ,and megan adj. cam gears and 2.5 exhaust. anyways onto pix and progress so far:

when i got it:

and now, excuse the flat tire, i'm not going to waste my time since i plan to get wheels shortly anyway... ideas suggestions? valvecover has me kinda mehh right now...

isn't this jeffs old ride with the diamond racing wheels.
  • yeah , man he needs to stay away from electrical stuff haha . i've been trying to find some sort of build thread somewhere ... no luck . this wagon still needs a lot of work to be honest...most of it because of "rigged" stuff...but w/e , we all rig things when it's our car , then we sell it and the next guy is like WTF???... or you buy it and you're the same..

buahahahahaha ..now i know this car.ive seen it many times you got that from a black dude name jeff. hope you build her up nice i was sad to see him cut it short and not flare the front .......welcome man you should bring it out to the next meet here local. the element green/blue/glow in the dark lookin color.
edit..i seen someone brought up jeff..  sorry
  • yeah, finally found a thread he made , i'm going to try and clean this thing up and make it simple and usefull,i already got a mental layout for it... including 16's , oem flares from another car , redo the cloth interior ...etc,etc,etc...

lucky!!! that it already came with a b-series swap
  • yeah , unlucky that the hood wouldn't open , you had to jump the solenoid at the starter to get it to start , it was rubbing tire on the gasfiller tube , missing an axle nut , super cut springs , wiring that was !?!?!?!?!?, it took two tries for me to trade my e30 for it...

this is what the e30 looked like , and my other e30 i sold too

    Welcome man,

I sold Jeff a flare kit for it and some other parts for that wagon and his old one. I was gonna sell him my spare wagon, but now I am using it another project......

He didn't use the flare kit...

He had a good project started.... And then he let it go..

I hope you keep it going and have fun with it...

Maybe see you at one of the meets after I get my Wagon back on the road...
  • i doubt it , i live like 3 hours from tampa...but yeah i want to keep it going and have a decent wagon. what kind of flares were they?
  • DRMORTYDRMORTY Council Member
It was a Fiberglass set that you trim to fit, then mold in...

His friend did that thing with the rear instead and he didn't do the front... You didn't get the wide wheels from him?

    Are you on TampaRacing?

yeah he hacked the fuck out of that car.....it was months that that hood wouldnt open. but he isnt the greatest with a wrench. i jus hope you get it back to somewhat drivable condition.

I heard you got another wagon??? AWD??? Gold??? Auto??? Rear Speakers??? Lower Center Console??? GREAT Price???

    I was considering it...

Do you need a Drive shaft for the rearend? I know where there is one..
  • no, it was an awkward deal we had...haha. i'm probably gonna get sportmax 002 in 16x8 0 offset . but for some reason i want rubber on them , i've done the stretch thing a lot and i kinda want to see tire and moderate lowering, not slam/stretch.

    yeah i'm on tr

I have the same name on TR
  • had some downtime so i cut the valvecover to be able to degree the cams , was going to paint it but i like the patina on it now...eventually want to paint it white i think,,,idk yet it's trivial.

  • well , this wagon's future was grimly foretold and today as of 5pm it has become a donor/recepient of a motor and parts transplant...i found a good deal last night and after scraping for funds i got a 91 civic hatch in complete oem cherryness... the wagon may still hang around cus i'm a car hoarder though.
  • i got this thing yesterday , bone stock 91 dx, 5spd , i'm going to swap the b16a and the wheels i just got for the wagon onto this ... keep it clean and simple , i want to eventually be able to auto-x it . amazingly i told my dad i was swapping the motors and selling the wagon and he said " why not keep them both and fix them up?" i was in shock and awe...
