My beater with a heater ;)

Here is my car when I bought it from fellow member farfumwork back in September. It's a 1990 RT4WD with 225K miles on it now. He did a D16Y8 headswap a couple years back (there's a writeup about it on this site). Other than that it's stock, and it's going to stay like that. I love how quiet and mild mannered this car is.

Since I have got it I have taken care of or upgraded a few things:
1. Had hood repainted, and had a strip of clear bra installed on the nose, where the old paint was pitted bad due to little rock impacts. Original clear coat was peeling pretty bad and it was ugly. It looks awesome now.
2. Fixed headgasket (I knew it had one when I bought it). I also had an engine block heater installed, since the coolant had to be drained anyways.
3. New windsheild. Old one was in very bad shape.
4. New stock looking muffler
5. Replaced lower end Pioneer head unit with an old Alpine stereo I had from my old '92 Integra
6. Added Sirius radio
7. New floormats from Coleco
8. Enkei Rims (also from '92 Integra that I sold) with Blizzzak winter tires. I am really looking forward to see how AWD and winter tires do in the snow (if it ever snows here)

Future Plans..
1. Find another transmission to buy, so I can have it rebuilt. I guess mine as a noisy bearing. Sometimes it is a little grouchy as well. It will grind a little or be notchy.
2. Add a subwoofer and amp.
3. Might do a K&N drop in filter. Or an AFE filter, if they make one for these cars.
4. Might replace all the door moulding if I can scrape up $250
5. Repaint the stock RT4WD steelies
6. Drive it 8,000 miles a year, and be happy!
my tranny is grouchy sometimes also
Random question: The 88-92 SOHC ZC is a stock replacement for the D16A6 right? Am thinking abut getting one and replacing the stock bottom end as a preventative maintenance measure.

3 things
1. great progress looks good! 8)
2. what is that thing under your cd player? :?
3. ARE THOSE MANDLES YOUR WEARING!!!???
What a great goal to have! haha I plan to have the same goal! Perhaps even more miles on a rebuilt engine!
15 x 7, 25 offset, 205/50R15 Falken Azenis.... the old school Azenis.. they are from 2003! They've lived a sheltered life, so I hope they will not fail on me. The ride is harsher though.
I was hoping they would be more flush, but they're alright. Now, I'm thinking about lowering the car just a tad, like 1-1.5 inches. I need to get a real job before I can do that though.
Did you paint them or have someone do it for you?
