A/C setup Diapgram..

Well since it is getting hot outside I think I'm going to re-isntall my A/C system..

Does anyone have a diagram of how it goes back together? I think I could figure it out but I'm being lazy and don't want to.

I too would be greatfull for this as I might be getting an A/C system from a EF soon
  • ac is way over rated. i could scan it from my book but it's like 4 pages and im lazy
  • I wouldn't say AC is overrated. After 3 summers of humid pa weather without it, I will be looking forward to having it. When its 100+ and humidity is through the roof opening all the windows and driving in your boxers (done it many a time) still doesn't keep me totally comfortable. Arriving at places sweaty and sticky sucks :x :x

....driving in your boxers (done it many a time)

haha dude, thats awesome. my friend i once talked me into driving butt naked... went from Tybee Beach into downtown savannah. had my shorts at my legs just incase we got pulled over. great times.

i did it back when i was 8. no comment, doodle.

I also think it's overrated.. But I think I'm going to make my Wag a daily driver if I don't get a motorcycle..

I've driven naked before.. but not because I was hott...
  • i personaly love driving in 100+ humid ass weather with all the windows down. plus with the gas getting close to $4 here ide rather not use the ac.
  • Better late then never, hope this helps

My wagon was from washington and came from honda with no ac! And here in texas its f-ing hot I want to put ac n my 91rt but dunno what I need for the wiring. I know what I need for the lines, comp, cond, evap, climate control withac button. But for the wiring I am lost.!!! Is the dash wiring and under hood wiring there or not!!

it IS there. very easy, just plug and play.
you need to entire wire harness from the AC unit (pictured above). the harness runs into that cabin where the AC lines do. the plug for it is sitting behind there under the dash.

Now since you got a B series engine you might have to do some wireing. If your engine didnt come with and a/c system.

Also what are you going to put back in the system. R-12 (hard to come by and $$$) or R-134. Just about everywhere.

First off get a new receiver dryer. This absorbs any moister out of the system. And if you left it out and the hold exposed its not reuseable.

Umm once you have everthing installed. If you have the tools to do so. Apply a vacuum on the system. This will pull any moister and air out of the system (thus you have pure refridgerent). Leave the vacuum for 15-25 min this will let you know if you have a leak if theres a drop in vac.

If all is good. Rechare to spec.
If you dont have the tools go your shop or any ASE Certified shop and have them fix it up.
