yeah it feels good. haha i had to get used to it all over again after driving the mazda3 around all the time.
one last issue to fix is the idle is kinda weird. i stays at 1500 then drops to 800 and instantly jumps back to 1500. kinda like BAAAAAAAAA drum BAAAAAAAAA drum BAAAAAAAAAAAA drum .... etc.
its only after i have driven around. not when i first start the car or anything either. nothing big, it'll prolly go away on its own :P
Your idle problem could be a vacuum leak. Spray some carb cleaner around the intake manifold gasket and sensors while its idling weird and see if it changes the idle. If it does, you found your leak.
alright, to be honest i did not notice THAT MUCH improvement in performance, though the intake tone is much nicer now and also the exhaust is a bit less raspy. the car does rev up quicker then before, and also easier. when i was cruising on the interstate i also notcied that it seemed to be revving less then before, idk if it was or i just dont remember what it used to be :? car IS quicker off the line though fo sho, thats one great thing. i have not yet taken it too the max so idk about top speed but yeah
over all it was a very easy swap (minus the idiot thing i did) and also the engine bay looks much nicer now as well.
naw i knew it wasnt going to be like "HOLY HELL THIS 10 HP IS AMAZING!!" it was still fun though and all the other crap that comes with it. pretty much the best things are:
no.
i dont have a CAI i just have a homemade short ram made from stock intake parts and a piece of 3" tubing. also the mushroom filter isnt loud like the cone filters.
soon as i have extra $$ for junk imma get one off ebay

on the first B16 swap we did it took us awhile to find out the inside of the ECU was corroded, bought from a poor importer back in the early 90's.
anyway, good job.
Bit of a man-love moment?
 anyways. i adjusted the idle on the TB to 750 and now its runs perfect. just absolutly perfect.
After my car was swapped, my mileage definitely improved when I drive conservatively. If I'm aggressive, the mileage is can be worse than before.

-cheers!
LMAO
Nice to hear you got it done. I hope you werent thinking that you were going to gain enough HP to feel it in the driver's seat.
-quicker throttle response, higher revs
-intake noise
-nicer looking engine bay

mine does... no matter what intake is on it. It happens around 2-3k rpms. Can't find any vacume leaks, either.
My friends del sol does it too..
Oh well.
