MPFI... she lives!!!!!!!

ok, so i am in the process of converting my car to MPFI, and i finished everything, all the wiring, etc.. i go to start my car, cranks right up but instantly jumps to about 3200 rpms and just sits the going ba-da-ba-da-ba-da as if it was at the redline. i instantly thought i was the TPS so i checked it too make sure i had switched the green and yellow wires, and i did, but i switched it again just to make sure and the car is still doing the same. could it be that i just didnt connect the extended wires so it is still the TPS or is there something else that could be causing this???
thanks in advance

Is it throwing any codes?
i'm gonna go check for codes....
i've tried numerous things to fix the crank angle code, switched wires, re-did connections, but everything is hooked up the way its supposed to be, wtf.
and the ingnition output signal... no idea what that is. google here i come 8)
both codes are coming from the dizzy... so.. anyone with more expertise have any helpful hints :P
triple check your work here. if u got another dizzy try swapping it out.
i have to wait till friday to try out a differnt dizzy :x (got a 30-day warranty on all parts from the junkyard, so i'll be trading for a different one)
Check out Distributor King on Ebay...about $125 gets you a completely new dizzy with lifetime warranty. I'm used two now and been completely impressed.
Edit: Just look on ht and you if you enter the code "hondatech" (without the quotation marks, of course) in the promotions box at checkout it will give you a 10% discount. This was posted in 05 so I'm not sure it still works, but its worth a try.
Here's a link to their store

sorry to ask a stupid question, but is that the same as a PM6 dizzy??
i need one, NOW. dizzies from Distributor King are $157, i dont have that much right now for a POS. anyways, let me know asap!
basically, did it do anything near what mine is which is it "idles" at 3200-ish and sounds like its choking if i hit the gas but stays at 3200.
pm'ed on the shipping
lulz.
i just spent $120 on a new dizzy, BRAND NEW dizzy... anyways, i install it, get m car all back together, crank it, and *yay* it runs and idles great.
BUT--- check engine light comes on immediatly. im like WTF so i look at the ECU. it was throwing bunch of random codes which i finally got down to only one. #4, crank angle sensor. i change around the two wires, i rechakc and redo connections, EVERYTHING and every damn time i start the car its throwing #4. car idles perfect, but when i go to rev it does so in a veryyy nasty way, as if it was chocking and it wont go past 3200 rpms. i cant figure out WTF the problem is, im starting to get on my last nerve. i need my car, its been sitting for fricking 3 weeks now. what was supposed to be a "cheap" and "easy" swap has cost me amost $300 and a lot of blood sweat and tears.
PLEASE HELP ME PEOPLE!!! why is it still throwing code #4? i even checked with a different ECU, got a brand new dizzy, redid connections... so what is the damn problem???
and yet im still throwing a code 4.
my last guess is that my dizzy is defective. its a remanufactured one.. but i mean, what are the chances of it being defective??
ARGHHHH!!!
Top sensor in the dist. and is used for fuel control and misfire detection.
If the dist. base bearing starts failing, it will start heating the sensor(s) up, destroying the magnetism causing a code(s). It will lose 10% of it's strenght, each time it is heated up, to a 170 degrees plus.
In most cases, replacing the distributor is the only alternative. Especially if the bearing has failed.
Honda does don't stock the bearing itself, but other after-market compaines are said to have one.
If you have problems starting the engine, or drivability after the install check your cam aligment. The seizing bearing might have caused it to jump a tooth/notch or two. From the extra drag due to the bearing failing.

POS
SO NOW WTF!?!?
this leaves me with one choice... the timing is off. can this be? i didnt even touch that. i have done every possible thing and its still not working properly.
why me
I kinda doubt that can cause it to run that bad and also throw a code, but maybe... Read up on setting your timing... and reset your ecu and see what happens.
i rotated it back and forth while someone else revved and it didnt change for jack  sure, it got the idle nicer/worse here and there but it still wont REV BEYOND 3200 rpms :x even had the battery unhooked to reset junk, fricking yeah.
the dizzy sits in the middle for now.
well imma tinker a little more today, then junk it.
