engine bogging... solved=kink in hose

weird thing is is lately it has been progessing to bogg a bit more. i dont know if its a hose or something clogged.

whats happening.

at very light throttle.
keeping at about 2k rpm or 3k rpm.
the engine seems to bogg down.
similiar to something plugging up something like the fuel lines or an air inlet hose.
i dont know what i can be.

anyone else with the same issue?
anyone figured out what it might be?

could be an old clogged Catalytic converter...

Start with the simple stuff. Check your ignition, Cap/rotor, spark plugs, and plug wires. I had the same problem....I had bad wires. Replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Good as new.

brand new catalytic convertor. installed last month.

the cap and rotor are stock i can change those.

any aftermarket performance parts for those?

i just drove the car today. its doing it more often then before.

as for right now its stock. no other mods.

A free check of your Ignition with this link:

When was the last time your fuel filter has been changed.Would probably be a good time to change it.

kewl. but what does the ignitor do?

no i have not done any maintenance other then air filter, oil, and oil filter.

The Ignitor upgrades :D FREE  .A bad ignitor causes the engine to cut out or die totally.I find when engine probs pop up it's a good time to replace possible related parts that are overdo for maintenance.

The reason I mentioned the fuel filter is 'cuz it's often overlooked in regular maintenance. It's probably NOT either of those parts.

Have u checked the ECU for a code?

i totally agree with you on doing maintenance when things start too.

this is the first thing that started.

i would prefer to just fix things that are broken or causing problems. as for this it just buggs the crap out of me and worries me at the same time cause i dont want to be stranded somewhere late at night if this issue starts to become more serious.

found the problem, there was a kink in the hose on the fuel pressure regulator. i may have to replace that little hose. what happend was it was routed under anther hose. so far all i did was took it off and routed over the hose. i guess as the engine got hot it would bend the hose in half cuasing suffication. the hose has a small crease which ill just redo the hose line again. very minor hose about 4 inches but cause a huge headache.

    thanks to everyone's help.
