Arizona is the shit man! And there's good skiing within a days drive.

I toy with the idea of going back every day. My old roommate actually called me today and said they've got a room available for me. Right now isn't exactly the most ideal time to move there lol Maybe when school starts.

    Good luck man!

ps- West coast is the best coast!
Yeah, we love it out here other than the winters, but we're hoping it works out. I was actually born there and still have a lot of family out there in Phx, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Cali so we'd have places to crash for plenty of roadtrips haha. My wife has never been west of Kansas City! She sure doesn't know what she's missing.

Yeah they are simple, but really help set it off a bit. Funny the main reason I wanted them was to cover a dent on the fender.

Big project. Looks like you have the time, though. Nice work saving one more from the scrapper.

Yeah it's taken up TOO MUCH of my time. If I would have known all the work I'd be into, I would have sent it off myself!
  • Not enough pics on this page.

Took a little road trip up to Bradbury Mountain State Park, did some geocaching with some friends and the dogs...

Yeah, definitely can't go dumped like most of the guys around here. Where are you at?

Was for sale for 1/2 day, then I realized I just can't do it. Time to turn her into the bad ass battle wagon she was born to be.

Came a long way man, that rats nest was NASTY! Reminds me a 90 STD hatch I picked up in NW Ohio a few years back. The back cargo cover was full of about 80 bee's and in the engine bay was a rats nest with small baby mice. The best came when I took out the seats and there was spider egg's all over the damn place. I never want to run into something like that again.
  • MrLewayneMrLewayne Wagonist
That was an incredible read. I just read the whole thing start to finish! Dude, talk about dedication! Your dedication totally makes me want to dive into my car and get her all done and fixed up. I'm so stoked to start working on my new wagon! Awesome work man. I have to say that I did laugh pretty hard about the mice nest that your found in your heater vent! Good pics with the dogs in the car too. Awesome thread man, more pictures is always better then less in my opinion. Especially when you want to go back and look at all the hard work you put into this car! Awesome! :D

    ^ Thanks guys! :D It's been a hell of a journey, that's for sure.

A little update. Finally got the parts wagon picked up last weekend..got twenty bucks for the scrap haha. So nice to have that out of the way.

I realized a name the other day much more fitting than Catsup. She will now be referred to as the wheel barrel. 500lbs+ of patio supplies without a hitch...

    The wheel barrel...
    264.jpg
    Look at that drop! haha

So since the CRX hasn't done much moving in the past 6 months or so, I decided to throw the wheels on the wagon finally. It would look decent with about a 4 inch drop, a red lip around the wheels, and red H on the center cap. But I won't be doing that to this wagon. This is just temporary to freshen up the tires on the black car, and give the winter tread on the wagon a rest. That's about all I've done worth documenting. Oh, I did change out the front calipers as the other day the front left one locked up and was smoking. All good now. Didn't have time to take pics though. :(

Picked up a 97 CRV for the wife a month ago to replace her 06 Civic. Better for hauling the new baby around and NO CAR PAYMENT!! :) They are so similar to the EE wagon...

Nice pics. I feel you, bam, and I are the only ones that refuse to lower lol

Looking at that last pic, I can't help but wonder how close a set of window visors would be. If you have time and a measuring tape..... :)
  • doitdubdoitdub familEE
It's tough to not want to lower it when you put low profile wheels on...it makes that gap even more obvious. But if anything, I'll be raising it and putting some thicker tires on. I do kind of like the black wheel combo though.

As for the CRV...yeah, I can take some measurements. Like everything about this thing is very similar,...

It does the trick, and nah, I'll be holding onto it for now.
