Coilover question

so i did a quick search but when i typed in coilover i got overrun by topics that didnt really explain what i wanted lol so figured i would ask

i got a set of crappy ebay coils a while back and this saturday me and chip are going to get them installed. my question is where do the rubber O rings go? the pack came with a few of them but no instructions..i helped my buddy install some a few years ago but i dont remember seeing the rings. any info is appreciated

They go between the sleeves and the shock to help keep it centered. You pick the ones that fit the tightest. Honestly though, and I doubt you want my opinion but ebay coilovers are crap, and you should probably just save up for a real set.

I would also advise drilling and tapping in 3-4 locations around the diameter of the sleeve so you can use grub screws to attach it too the shock shaft.

This way when they springs become uncaptive the sleeve will stay located where is should be and will not bend when the load comes back one, probably with the spring crooked slightly

I've seen ebay kits that come this way not a bad idea but honestly you should get on some real suspension asap lol.

    Springs are springs really.

It will all come down to the quality of the shocks you have.

I had lowering springs on stock struts and it handled like shit, replaced struts with Koni Yellows and it was waaaay better.

I know have Skunk2 Sleeves with the 8kg springs on the front and its soo soft and smooth due to the Koni's, will stiffen them up a bit I think
