anybody that wakeboards or has a tower boat should recognize these. i was wondering if anybody has thought about mounting these in the back instead of tryin to find rear "oem" speaker pods

    be better off just taking a lil bit of time and making your own housings for speakers and put them in
    save some money also

    Anything can be done with the right tools and $$$.

    It's not a bad idea, besides the fact that you could buy about 5 pairs of speaker pods for the same price.

    I actually have thought about this many times and in a wagon I think they would work as there is quite a bit of space in the back. I was going to try this out on my AE86 and mount them to the cage but after looking at dimensions they would be too bulky for the inside of the car.

    i was thinking of making a tower like on the boats to stick in the back of one. and mount them and have my wakeboard gear all there. but im rethinking the idea. the tower would be really heavy i think

    One of my ideas for awhile now is taking a jeep cherokee rear speaker pods that are on the roof and taking it and shorting it to fit within the ceiling of the wagon and somehow attaching it to the roof and recovering the roof with some sort of fabric and making it look clean and out of the way that way you wont bump the speaker pods
    just my two cents on it let me know what you all think

    I believe that's something like what NJCIVICWAGON1 has in his car...check him out.

    Also, Rodeo/Passport roof pods work well. I don't remember who did them though :?
