A rag top for a civic wagon? Do you have any pictures?
  • This is where I got the idea viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9895&hilit=Rag.
From mrm3 I think that's his screen name
  • Having never owned one I couldnt say for sure, but common sense tells me:

    Pro:
    -Looks cool

    Con:
    -Leaks
    -Easy to break into
  • yea easy to break into for sure
  • if i had one i wouldnt drive it in public it would more than likely be just a show car

i think it'd be bad ass if it was like metal slats, like bat man style that slide back lol.

Shouldn't you just ask me? As far as I know I'm the only one with a rag top. The downsides are it leaks and it's easy to break in to. My car is garage kept and only driven in nice days so it's no big deal. People want to talk about structural rigidity but that's not an issue with it. Most people think that when you cut the support braces out of the roof the whole car just falls down around itself, but those supports are only there to support the roof panel itself not to add rigidity to the overall car. So am I happy that I put in the top? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes.
  • i had one on an xb.

its a little noisy. you here everything ie... wind, rain, trucks. especially on hwy.
would i do it again? yes. it really unique.

why not make a slot made of plastic or whatever material you want. make it like overlaping each other when opened. so basicaly a huge sunroof that folds.
