No power on turns

Recently Ive noticed a problem with my wagon. When I take sharp left turns, I get no power out of my engine. It's like it just stops. Not on right turns though. At this time I had half a tank of gas so I figured that the fuel pump is on the left side, and when I'm turning all the fuel shifts to the other side and starves the pump. So I filled up my tank and it runs fine around corners now. Today, again, I am at half a tank and it's acting up again. Has anyone else had this problem or have any thoughts on a fix?

    3rd gen or 4th?
  • 4th gen. It's a 91 RT if that helps.
  • Pump is on the right side, so that's not it. Your sock/pickup tube might have come off the bottom of the pump.

EDIT *** I was wrong. Pump's on the left.
  • To get to the pump do I have to drop the tank do you know? Or is it under the seats?

Im preaty sure you have to drop the tank
  • Yup. No magic access panel like EGs and EKs.
  • i thought i heard the RTs had the access panel and DX doesnt.
    mine doesnt :( DX
  • to oxbeard: Like the other post suggests, I'd cut the access hole my self and then find a cover off an eg or something before I go though the trouble of dropping the tank.

to truedson87: So does your rt have the access cover?
  • Yes. My RT DOES have the access cover. And it's on the LEFT side. So I guess my original theory could still be valid. That when I'm turning left all the gas sloshes to the right side and the pump is getting starved. The real question now is how do I correct this?
  • Sorry dudes. Yup! Pump is on the left.
  • So nobody has any suggestions?
