My Red RT4WD project

Bought this car from a customer of mine for a STEAL! I'll just say it was less than $1,000! :) Here are the before pictures. And still have lots of mods/repairs to come.

Basic beging info:
1991
170k miles
Auto trans
AWD

And here was the first addition to the wagon...

Passenger side mirror...

Followed by some traction bars. Got these mainly for the adjustable caster feature, being it has an auto trans and no imediate plan for HP upgrades.

As usuall with any car i buy. Started the suspension upgrades... Also installed some new 1991 integra cv-axles(sorry no pictures)

I know they look pink , but trust me they are red :)

And the new wheels and tires! And it rides amazing! 16x7 tsw trackstar's, 205/40/16 zexuis

SPC front and rear camber kits on order and hope to get them installed and the car re-aligned in the next few days! More upgrades in the works along with some general maintenance.

Nice, give that valve cover a coat of paint and it will look a million bucks!

Only thing I feel it needs is maybe some 205/45 tyres, 40 profile looks a little small

    Oh Ehm Gee!
keep the Original rims, i like em better. (just my taste)
i like the floor mats :D
  • What a deal! Aside from a little fender dent that thing looks great.

Are those the ground control top hats? Also are you using stock shocks?

Valve cover powder coating is inline to be done. And those are E-bay top hats. From what i can tell look real nice!
  • Awesome pick up!
It wouldn't be uncool if those coils were pink, IMO.
You could even match the valve cover up and do that pink as well.
    Sweet wagon!
  • She's a bute!

I dig your traction bar, what make is it, how much did it cost?
Got one on my Si, but the heim joints are bad, so it makes some noise. alot.
    Lookin to get two.

Pink coils on a red car is fine

The coils are actually very red, for some reason the picture turned out pink, didn't feel like retaking the picture. The traction bars are via ebay generic brand. I would recommend a better quality joint personally. I'm sure if you took a few measurements and did some searching you could find a better quality and a reasonable price. The complete traction bar kit was around $130 shipped

Well, couldn't sleep this last sunday morning so made it to work around 7:30 am or so. To install the much needed camber kits! And dialed in the wheel alignment.

Boise eh? Should come down to Utah for some Honda meets! I need a pass mirror :( Where did you find it?
  • This thing is coming along in awesome fashion!

What are the plans motor wise?
  • On second look I'm curious about the SPA upper ball joints. They seem to add a bunch of height to the UCA that normally wouldn't be there which means less overall travel. I guess as long as you don't go too low you should be fine.

Been a while since i've updated the build so here is the current status....

Started with an E-bay EF hatch as i recall exhaust system. Figured it would get me the key parts and some extra bends that are not needed. Swapped out the single 4" tip for a dual tip and then added an extra resonator to quite it down a bit. Sounds real nice IMO :) Just purchased a wrecked EF EX sedan.... power windows, door locks, and maybe even mirrors to come in the near future hopefully  Should be able to hopefully part out the rest of the car to cover my cost and walk away with all the upgrades i needed! Also scored a volvo front lip in the deal :)

    931.jpg

Here you can see where i modified the exhaust system to fit the RT wagon. You can also see where i addded the additional resonator.

This is by far the cleanest wagon ive seen in person, except for the one dent pictured, its immaculate. Love seeing it drive by the house Tom.

new exhaust looks great. Looking forward to seeing your progress with the power stuff. You gonna hook up the CC too? Youll have everything you need in that EX. Guess I need to make a plan with ya about the suspension in that car too.
