Wagon suspension questions.?

Those of you guys that have dropped you rear with original wagon struts and EF springs...Would you recommend cutting the bump stops as well & why?

I know cutting the bump stops will help not bottoming out so easily.

Also on the front stock struts and cut EF springs. Do i need or should I cut the bump stops? I am for sure going to extend the tophats.

  • Anytime you lower the ride height using stock type struts, it is a good idea to trim the bump stops. The use of extended top hats however would most likely not require you to cut the bump stops. When the spring is fully compressed, the bump stop would be completely enclosed within the top hat. Hope this helps.
