  • are you going to lower it? if so how low?
  • yes im already lowered and my mud flaps are about 1/2 inch off ground!
  • Well since I got no replies I decided to just get them anyways! Ijust got them today an plan on instaling them myself w the help of a spring compressor that I'm gonna rent.as soon as I test these out I will post my 2 cents for anyone else wanting to know.

you might want to get some extended top hats.my friend on here mywagon had some and he blew the rears.he to was dumped.he has extended top hats now.
  • cool il look into getting some fo shure.i put on my fronts w the exception of the dust covers they wouldnt fit over the bump stops.then proceeded to do the rears, and then found out they wouldnt fit because the shocks had a fork style and the control arms that were on my wagon didnt allow that style.so i had to purchase some new blox lcas that should be here wed.hopefully that will solve my problem.?

Yea you've got an 88 lca, you need 89+. I had the same issue with those shocks. But even slammed on the sleeves and with extended top hats it rode like shit and wasnt very low. Now I'm much lower and ride twice as smooth as before. lol
  • Rev,

So are you saying you have the same sport shocks but they ride like crap?...
  • The skunk2 shocks are wayyy bettr than blown stock struts obviously but if I could rewind time I wouldve gottn tokico illuminas or koni yellows I was jus hard pressed for money the skunk2 shocks are real bouncy and when I turn my wagon has lots of side to side play if I make a left hand turn my right mud flaps drag same as for the other side. I would recomend savin up a lil xtra And get the gd shizzz!
  • Ironm4n,

So you running these with GC coilovers, what number are they? Currently running no name brand coilovers and if you experiencing that type of ride with more expensive set ours will just bounce all over. I really like that the sport shocks are much shorter so we can lower the car more. Maybe stiffer springs would work better with them.

Actually i dont know WTF happened but my new skunk2 setup is not sitting low at all and Im even using Skunk2 coilovers! I cant go any lower either because I'm already on bump stops. Definately not a viable setup without some other mods, I mean i was lower on my blown oem cut shock spring setup!
  • This is on Skunk2 Springs and Shocks. (non-adjustable)

There is no engine installed. You can see how high it makes the back compared to the front:
