New Owner of a 89 RT4wd (Auto) Edmonton/Alberta

Hello everyone,

The name is Pat and I recently picked up my first Wagon a little while ago. Darn, things are hard to come by here in Canada. I had to wait for almost 8 months hahaha

Sorry far I was able to pick up some parts - Thule racks, Ep3 seats, Momo wheel/hub

Anyways, I plan to get this little guy up to decent shape and I'll post pictures of any mods I do.

If there any Moderators or Admin peeps who can provide me access to some of the other forums like the marketplace etc that would be much appreciated.

A very happy owner :)

Pat

  • Welcome fellow Canadian wagon owner, and congrats on your purchase..... access to the marketplace is granted after a minimum number of posts is reached (I am not an Admin or Mod, btw)... I think the number is ten posts, so just have a little conversation and ask a few questions and you'll soon be in like Flynn

    My tips:

    A1a: Search.
    A1b: Search :D
Everything else:Avoid posting a bunch of empty statements like "Nice car" and "Sweet ride man"s just to get your count up. Ditto for digging up ancient topics without adding anything of relevance. Use the "view active topics" button to see what is actually being talked about recently, as opposed to the "Board Index". I was chewed out as a newb for these things, and now I see why.

Is you wag 4wd or 2wd? Colour? Auto or manual trans? Rusty?

    Welcome!
  • Thanks a bunch! Ya, I'm so happy that I was able to find one. Thanks for the tips :)

The wagon is a 4wd Automatic. I really wanted a manual but since these guys are so darn rare in Canada I'm not gonna complian hahaha. Its got rust on the both the rear wheel wells :(. I'm gonna try to get them fix when I get the chance but other than that its in decent shape. By the looks of it your wagon is dark grey? If so mine is as well.

Is yours auto or manual? How long have you had yours?
  • Mine's a manual, and dark grey too (it's said to be the only colour Canadian RT4WDs came in). I've got the same rust issues as well :( . Such is life with snow.
  • O really? so only 4wd grey ones here in Canada. Any suggestions on repairing that rust without welding new sheet metal haha? I didn't want to really dump a whole amount of money into it :) but It looks like the the investment numbers are going higher hahaha. I finally custom mounted in EP3 sir seats in which I got for 100 bucks and then a momo hub and wheel that I got for 130 . I got some Thule roof racks for 25. I jsut finished installing a 2 way pager remote starter that I had kicking around which I paid 100 for 3 years ago. Also, I got a Mangaflow catback exhaust (50bucks) off of an ep3 civic which my neighbor is going to custom install it on to the car. And my biggest purchase as of yesterday was I just purchased a Jackson racing supercharger hahaha. Damn, I just wanted a winter beater to make it though the ugly winters here but the more i'm on the forum the more I want to do something to the wagon. HELP! hahaha
