Doesn't let me rev higher than 3,000 Rpms

Ok so i did my swap on my wagovan and ever since its been nothing but problems!! Lol well kinda! Anyways my wagon sounds like it has 2 step when it doesn't! When reving the engine, and it reaches 3,000 rpms it sounds like 2 step. Any ideas of what the problems is? Do you think it is electrical? Oh and it didn't do this before the swap! Thanks guys!

What ECU are you using? Is it chipped or OEM stock program? Do you have any check engine lights?

Like Jaker said - check your error codes on the ecu. Did you swap the two outside wires on the tps plug? The outside 2 wires on the tps for MPFI are backwards from the DPFI setup, so make sure that you de-pin them from the plug and swap them with each other.

More likely goin to be distributor wiring. I would start with retracing all of that! I've had many 88-91's do this to me after swapping and this usually is the issue.

X2 I agree with the tps being the issue
