Post your Audio setup for your car

I've been trying to gather some ideas on getting a good system in the wagon. I've looked at multiple different shots and seen a lot of good ideas. This is a good place to put up pictures of your head unit, speakers or anything else you have! Lets see some pics!

  • I guess I will play.

My audio system is very cheap.

Old Alpine CD head unit (from old Teg)
    Sirius transceiver (from old Teg)
4 Pioneer 6.5" speakers in the stock locations
Sound Ordinance B-8P Powered subwoofer (130 shipped)

I'm not much of an audiophile anymore, so this system works just fine for me.

I live in Olympia Washington, what about if I drove down, would you give a good hookup to a brotha up north ;)
  • like what are we talking. just so you know it takes a good eight hours to make the pods and the wood/fiber glass/bondo is about 15.00 per set.
  • Wow, lots of good work must go into that then. Thats a great price. Could you fabricate it for a 6x9? They look like they're fit for 6x5. I'd also want them brown carpeted. :)
  • let me do some looking this weekend to see if they could go that deep. its only the drivers side i am concerned about cause of the filler neck. ill let you know.
  • Thanks man. :)
  • I'm not too much of an audio guy as it is, I just like to have a clean functional setup! So today I decided to go ahead and get myself something that works! As opposed to something that wouldn't play burnt cd's or even store bought manufacture copy written cd's.

I looked on crutchfield.com for about 4 hours and was reading about head units, and speakers and figured out what would be the best for my budget of 300 dollars. Found what the best things I could on crutchfield and searched google for the same products. Saved myself 50~ dollars doing so. Heres what I got today for a great price too!

My head unit Sony CDX-GT700HD CD Receiver, this was 175 dollars on crutchfield and just as I ordered it went on sale. No joke. I was talking to an awesome representative on the phone with crutchfield named 'Marlon'. $134 with harness!

Sony 6-1/2" 4-Way Xplod GTX Car Speakers
These were 99 dollars on crutchfield. And found them through "J and R audio something..." for $53!

All in all a pretty good buy. One day (If I ever in a million years come across Brown Speaker pods) I want to buy some 5x8" speakers for the front and throw the 6 1/2" speakers in the pods in the rear. Stoked to have some audio finally! ...if you couldn't tell!
