Rear wiper, wiper electronics & headlights

Hello, on a 1989 Honda Civic Wagon, I'm trying to replace my rear wiper from a very old if not original rear wiper. It has a metal connection I can't figure out how to disconnect the wiper from. Whereas the front wiper have a U shaped connection that is a button click away from loosening the rear does have a piece of metal that can be depressed but it doesn't seem to help loosen the wiper from the frame. How do you replace the rear wiper on these models?
Also, on the front wipers the lowest setting of the wipers only works once and then the wipers stop moving until I move up to the next or 2nd lowest settings. I've basically lost the lowest intensity wiper setting. Why?
Finally, when I turn on my front headlights the left bulb always turns on and right away. My right bulb doesn't always turn on, if it does it's either instant, a couple seconds delay, a few minutes delay or not at all. Once it's on it stays on. Any insight as to why this might be?
Thanks in advance!

2) That first click is for intermittent wiper setting. All 3 of mine are sometimes intermittently intermittent :? as well. As you say, they'll cycle once then nothing. I haven't really explored why. Anyone?? Where is that timer/relay?
3) Weird. I would start by checking ground connections. There's a little white box bolted inside the fender apron between the airbox and headlight where all the lighting grounds for that side terminate.
