Oldschoolimport - Muscle Shoals, AL

hello, I'm Wes. I'm an admin on EPhatch, and have been playing with hondas since 1988. My wife recently totaled my EP3, and I ended up getting a Subaru Legacy GT. I'm just not feeling the car. today at Import Alliance, I spoke with one of the members here about wagons. I've always liked them, and actually had an 85 4wd for a few months, back in the day. I have located a 91 FWD with a blown motor for 4 bills, so it looks like I'm about to take on another project. I also have a 79 civic 1200 under wraps, waiting for a complete tear down. its destined to stay on the back burner for several years. the necessity for the wagon project is I have a daughter who will be driving in about a year, so we will pass the wifes current car to her when the wife takes over the legacy, so I need some DD wheels by then. the 86 is fun, but its too harsh for a DD, and has absolutely no creature comforts.

this is the subie:

Welcome! I don't know if I spoke to you at IA, I met sooo many folks. ( I'm the old guy with the trailer)

We have quite a group here in Atlanta, not that far away. Keep in touch and let us know what you need.
  • Thanks y'all. I sold those wheels when I got the Legacy. If I woulda thought I may get a wagon, I definitely would have kept them for it.

The trailer, like the 3/4 wagon camper trailer? If so, you passed us in the tunnel as we were coming in. We had to go to a wedding in knoxville Saturday night, so we didn't get to IA til about 1 on Sunday.

Yep, that was me- sorry we missed you.
  • I'll catch up with ya somewhere. I've planning to build a teardrop camper for a while, and your camper is a new twist of the teardrop layout. I'd like to look it over someday.

Yep, teardrops were the inspiration. Good ol' canned hams.
