New from Riverside/San Diego, CA

I just picked up an 87 Civic Wagovan recently, and it's been awesome. Way more fun to drive than my previous EP, though no one around me thinks so. Haha So it's pretty beat up, but I'm planning on cleaning it up a lot. The seats are destroyed, so I'm getting on reupholstering those soon.

I had a question though, the engine is running great, but when I hit about 80 mph, the steering wheel and dashboard start shaking. What should I change on the suspension to fix this? Because the engine is fine, the previous guy did a swap and there's only about 100,000 miles on it. I keep on hearing different things, like the axles, struts or shocks... What's the most important one to do first? Because I'm a student at UCSD and money's kinda hard to come by.

    1. Former EP owner! :)

    2. Could be as simple as tires needing to be balanced. Probably not axles , if you don't hear a wub-wub-wub while driving not bearings, struts possibly, or maybe steering bushing? It -really- could be a ton of stuff, but I would put my bet on balance and alignment.

    Whats the swap?
  • cool! A 3rd gen owner! I hope you restore that wagon nicely

Welcome! My friends and sister laughed their asses off at my wagon when I first got it. A few road trips in it later they loved it.

Sick, another SD wagon. I used to go to State, before I moved here to Tennessee. Man everybody over there is getting a wagon. Looks good so far.

For the shaking thing, probably needs an alignment, that should help. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you get around to messing with it. Any pictures of your old EP?
