Greetings and salutations from Asheville, NC. I owned a wagon (don't remember year) in highschool, and now am coming full circle to find an affordable vehicle with good gas mileage as my wife and I have a baby on the way.

Any thoughts or resources on certain years that are better than others, engine types, 4wd, gas mileage, and what kinda reasonable price range I'm looking at? I've only found 3 in the southeast for sale which seem to be in my range (am hoping to pay less than $2000), and am in the process of narrowing those down.

Please let me know if there are any you all know about in the area for sale.

Thanks. Been looking at craigslist all over the southeast, only found two that sounded decent.

Anybody know how difficult it is to find a 4wd actuator for an 85 wagon? From what I've read it sounds pretty hit or miss at junk yards. Are parts generally difficult to find?
