Converting 2wd to awd?

Is it difficult to convert 2wd to awd? Like what do you need? I'm trying to look for an awd, but most of them are 2 to 3000 miles away or with high mileage, so now I'm thinking maybe to get a low mileage 2wd and convert it to awd. Thanks

    You'll need to do some welding, and you'll need a donor RT4WD. That's enough to turn most people off.
