Made a radio adapter

So I made this and I'm extremely pleased with myself for some reason. Probably because it's been over a year since I've done this kind of work.

In my Integra I have a nice ipod stereo. I'm going on a long road trip in the wagon so I want to take the Integra stereo but I don't want to rewire it and then have to wire it back again when I get back.

    Nice job on the harness!
  • Thank you! I used it for the road trip and now I don't need it anymore :(

Okay, please excuse my radio harness ineptitude...

I understand the blue plug goes to the radio and the white plug goes to the factory radio harness, right? Now, since the factory radio harness plug is the male end, where did the female end on the DIY harness come from? An old Honda radio?

I want to make my own for a Sony Xplod head unit and don't want to cut up the factory harness if I don't have to.
  • Metra and other companies have been making these adapters for decades. You can buy them from an install shop or just look for them in the junkyard.

hellmeroma, did you still want to buy this harness? I don't need it anymore.
