Hi, my name is Jim and I live in the PNW.
Specifically in Vancouver, WA, right north of Portland.
I picked up a Cream and brown 1988 5 speed wagovan and thought i would share some pics.
Spent 5 hours cleaning the outside tonight and plan on getting the old grandma smell out of the interior tomorrow, heh.
I will be the second registered owner of this car, I bought it from a 87 year old woman....
without further ado, here are some pics of when I just got it home, and some progress.

Also painted the Honda emblems satin black, along with the rear window spoiler and exhaust manifold heat shield.
The back hatch carpet was so nasty and caked in dirt, so I took it out and ran it through the wash twice. Car smells so nice now.
And primed and sprayed satin black spray paint to cover up the wavy dark gray ugliness;
And, because I needed that extra something;
Car looks tons better now, going to do the top half (window trim) next week to match.
****On a side note, I ordered h&r race springs, new strut mounts and kyb struts. oh, and BLOX rear lower control arms because it's a 1988, blah, coming in gold anodized.****
Then I masked off the top section of the car to paint all the black molding and trim, which took like 2 hours to mask off!
Will take pictures in the sunlight later, I finished around 9:30 pm....
Also, I went to the store and bought some slip resistant drawer liner in tan to put in my dash so my things don't slide around once I get my suspension.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Also installed new wiper blades and rain-x'ed all the windows and the inside of the windshield.
All in all a good night, took me about 4 hours to finish everything but it was worth it!
Oh, and got in my BLOX rear LCA's and installed my new hatch struts! hatch lifts with ease!
Sand those babies up with some 600 grit wet sand paper so the paint sticks...
Apply first coat...Looks yellow now, but it will darken over time....Might look good to keep yellow if you have yellow brights?
Third coat, just right...
After baking them in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes, I noticed a little orange peel...
So I wet sanded with this...
Result...
Then used the trusty orbital...
With Some of this...
Looks a little better...(Don't mind the crack)
Annnnnd without further a due.....BAM

And a full frontal, oh I also sprayed the bumper lights!
And a teaser for tomorrow or this weekend, what do I need these for?...
holy crap dude that looks freaking amazing!!! where did you order the paint from?...clean car man! i did the same thing you did..had some tool box liner left over so i cut it up and put it in there
cant wait to see some updates of your car
I kind of wish my car had vinyl seats. Looks like they hold up better maybe?
Vinyl holds up better... but damn hot or cold.. nothing in between
You have one sweet Wagovan.. you need to join the PAC!
And along the lines of keeping the car back in the 80's/90's, I just installed some new wheels.
....Still waiting on my parts guy to call me about my springs, definitely need them now!
Love the build so far.

What happened to Rev!
H&R Race Springs with KYB GR-2's
BLOX Rear LCA's compared to Stock:
Installed:
And a teaser pic until the sun comes backout, plus I'm too tired to take any more :?
This was before driving around the block, so it hadn't settled yet. Seems to rub a tiny bit up front, might have to fix that dent and roll those fenders!...Might have to cut a coil off the rear also, little higher.
loving the build so far....
Clock for my dash:
Volvo front lip and accord front for the rear of my car:
Also, I am sick of being paranoid around cops because of not having a front plate, so I used the original mounting brackets, drilled a hole in them and installed bolt and nuts:
And put it on the driver's side of the bumper:
And now for some sunny pics of my suspension:
Front: One finger fits
Rear: Three fingers fit, probably going to cut a coil off
And some random shots because I was bored:
And my BLOX rear LCA's, so sexy!
Need to replace my radiator, put those lips on and paint them this week, probably in the next three days, I'll keep you guys posted!
