Civic Wagon or Subaru Forester?

I picked up a 98 Forester a few days ago for $350. I needs some brake rotors and possibly a head gasket. I'm debating wether I should keep my Civic Wagon or just get rid of it so I could put the money in the Subaru. I love my Wagon but I miss the air conditioning and the AWD. I was thinking about keeping the Civic for track purposes. I've noticed a few guys around running their Wagon on the track, is it worth it?

Anyone need a Wagon?? :mrgreen:

    If your wagon isn't 4wd, keep the subby instead. And the old forester aren't too big/high.
    Get a regular civic or crx for track purpose, more aftermarket support, lower, lighter.

    Yeah keep the Subaru. Ugly, but newer and better in many ways. The only bad thing about those Subys are when the U joints go bad, you need a whole new driveshaft. And apparently it's pretty common for them to go bad.

    On the other hand you're crazy to race a wagon since you can't get any parts for it.

    I'll probably get a WRX or Evo one day and hand this car down to a family member.

    I've had experience with both honda's and subaru's. I really love the simplicity of honda's however all the Subaru's I have owned have been great, all have been WRX's and 1 single forester. I really miss the Forester even though I had it for a mere 2 months, but it went through snow GREAT and had a lot of room, especially head room being a tall guy at all.

    One day when I'm not paying out the ass for my CTS-V I might pick up a Forester for a second car, I live in Minnesota so it will serve its purpose very well!

    head gaskets on subbies sucks pretty much need to take motor out to do it

    I'm in Québec too. Too bad it's wrong wheel drive (and that I have one already, but it's a 3g not 4g).

    My brother has a 97 impreza 2.5 RS, and he loves it. Boobaroo makes a really great car. I'd rather have a 4wd wagon myself, but... Still awesome.

    If I had a 4wd wagon I would keep it for sure...I'm still thinking about keeping it since I like it a lot. I'm still doing lots of work on the Subaru and I'm gonna try to keep the Wagon if I can.

    If you don't have AWD, stick with the Subie. AWD FTW!

    Hoepfully the Subie will be ready tomorrow...I will try as hard as I can to keep the Civic Wagon...I've already got plans for it :P
