well i havent done it yet but i looks like it just needs the mount welded witch should be easy i used to make the hydro tranny mount for the ef's before hassport did i also have the cable to hydro convertion but if i have the time ill just weld in the peddle like i did on my crx
i had to cut the old seat brackets up to make them buy cutting the plan level with the other side then welding the strips in after drilling holes in for the seat it took about a day.
here i cut the plan level for this flat strip
then weled the hell out of it
the other side is easy you just have to drill out the tac welds
as shown here
i have more pictures somewere i look later
i also wanted this one but man would it be spendy lol iv been working on this for about two years, i got a good job now as a wind turbine generator technician so that helps
i have more pics on my myspace myspace.com/honda_only
The guy I just sold my wagon to, is in the process of doing this very exact swap full K24 w/4wd tranny. He was in the process of pulling the D series out today, when I stopped by. He already has a nice EG Hatch with a K24 bottom end, K20 head, Si tranny w/limited slip. He's also doing a rear disk swap w/sway bar.
I do believe he signed up on here, I'll find out what his screen name is....
I'm doing the rear sway bar from the DA. Got the LCA's on the wagon, just gotta fab up some mounts. See if he can't make a write up. Plllleaseee
here is the peddle assy i was going to use the hassport but i wanted to eliminate the cable
act prolite flywheel and clutch
i used a 91 si rear sway bar that actually bolts up to the rear tow mount holes only one on each side tho no probs yet
i measured the side to side cable where it sits best then cut fliped and rewelded it
then i used the crv shift linkage so i had to measure the wire a cut off the plastic end and weld on a washer
it was actually really easy
then i mated the tranny and had to check the T bracket and i used the cable one, i had to weld on a hole that mounts to the motor cause its an inch lower after that it fit right in so i could make a tranny mount and chassis mount
i cant find th tranny mount pics if you ask ill throw them up later
and i dont like the turbo manifold and the turbo position so i ordered a ramhorn with a little more twist in the turbo
and i cant find much room for the down pipe so im thinking of free flow out the left side of the front bumper
so let me know what you think guys any tips or Q's im always open for suggestions and criticism.
no bashing but i did modify the t bracket maybe cause i use the cable one but i used the top half of a cable mount for the bushing and welded a plate for the bottom the mounted it on the tranny jacked it up till it was level then welded the chassis mount used from the old ones fits like a dream now there is clearance for the tranny but the rear transfer case leaves barely enough room for exhaust so wait till you mock it up before making one.
What connector is that? The connector between the LCA and the sway bar? I've found that you can mod a piece from an 87 Accord but this looks hella better, did it come with the LCA or where is it from?
