D16A8 with PP5 A/T ECU code19/can't shift out of park

Car runs great and shifts fine with old ECU for the A6 but when I plug in the PP5-U50 I can't shift from park and the idle jumps between 800-1200. It also throws code 19 which is A/T lockup control valve, but no codes for the original ECU. Any thoughts?

Just asking, if your old ECU runs well why are you changing it out? :?

Ahh, well auto's are not my thing but I'd say it has to be wiring.

The new ECU probably does not have the circuitry to interact with the shift lock solenoid. Is there a key hole on the shifter console next to the shifter? Is yes, stick a key in there and you'll be able to shift out of park. Or you could just hot wire the switch that is attached to that key hole. If you use a key, it doesn't matter which one you use. Pretty much any key will work as long as it penetrates far enough to activate the shift lock solenoid switch.

Also, do some research to see if the A/T lockup solenoid is wired to the same connection on the PP5 ECU as it is/was on the PM6 ECU.
