86 carburator problem

i got this 86 thats carburated and i have gotten the car to run pretty good. the car sat for awhile and i have gotten the old gas out. new filters. run new gas thru it with some cleaner. the problem is i have a slight vaccum leak at the throttle bushings and have the idle at 1500 which is not to bad and i can deal with it. i know in due time the carb will need replacing and i know oe's are not cheap and dont really like aftermarket rebuilt ones (havent had much luck with them in the past). does anyone know if there is a company that makes a kit to where i could put like a holley or weber one barrell or 2 barrell on the engine when it comes time for that. thanks in advance.

Can you lean the idle mixture down to slow it a bit? Not much help for worn butterfly bushings except replacement.

I haven't heard of such a kit, but if anybody knows, it's redpepperracing.com the 3rd gen experts live there.

Yeah, Weber makes a Redline for it and it uses a 32/36 weber DGV. I came from red pepper racing a while ago and this was my big upgrade for the motor. It ran so much better. :D
