Hey!

Well i currently dont own a wagon yet but i am looking to get one very soon. I currently have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4, that i have been building for the last 2 years Long arms, 4.56, LSD, blah blah blah and its my DD, im a student and and work so i drive it everywere gas is killer 14mpg... but its all worth it on the weekends. Anyway Im thinking about storing the cherokee for a while or even selling it... But i have made up my mind and i am desperalty looking for a 86-91 RT4WD civics, and boy are they a pain to find. I would like to grab a 6speed, and a D16a6. I have always been a huge fan of wagons, and i never really knew anything about civic wagons until a little bit ago, and i instantly fell in love, and then on top of that they had a 4wd version, i was stoked. I would love to find one soon, i have been checking CL latley and have found some ehh ones in Northern Cali, i wouldnt mind going up that far at all, actually i would like it kind of like a bonding road trip haha... but yea keep an eye out, i will be searching hard as well.

Thanks,

-John B.

whats the difference between the 86 wagon 4wd system (push button, selectable) and the 88-91 realtime 4wd system? does the 86 run 2wd unless selected for 4wd? i know the RT4WD system is like 80% front bias or something close to it. hows the reliability of the drivetrain?

Well i have been sleeping on the fact that i can get a 2wd wagon much cheaper and easier.... but i know i am going to beat myself over not getting a RT4wd. Why do they have to be so rare hahah. Anyway how do you get access to the marketplace here?

Yea 86's look killer... Well every 4wd one i track down has already been sold, but i have found 1. its in humboldt, CA now thats farrrrr from me but a good friend of mine is driving there on saturday (to go back to HSU) now i could go that route and see whats up with it. http://humboldt.craigslist.org/cto/1641860150.html. $3500 for it though is really to much. it is in really good shape, no dents/pops etc.. All the records are with it, it has had all its services done threw a honda repair place up there. most things have been replaced, waterpump, timing belt, brakes, etc... I really like the push button 4wd, but i do like the 88-91 body style a little more, no a big fan of the all black bumpers. But thats pretty much the only 4wd close to me that i have found. Now 2wd wagons are plentiful in this area, and much cheaper, i have found a couple nice 2wd for $1500-2000, but im not sure if i want to go 2wd just yet.

I have some pictures of it on my camera and they will be up later but so far its awesome, i have to raise the coilover up a inch or so cause they scrap like a mofo... but it need some TLC

-Both back doors have the child locks on and wont open from eathier side :(
    -1 headlight works
