Can an Locking Accord or Integ Glovebox Latch fit a HCW?

Having searched for the info without any luck, I am wondering if the latch mechanism on the glove box can be changed to a keyed latch. Do any Hondas have this as a feature? If so, can the parts just be swapped ala plug-n-play? Has anyone modified theirs? Do these pants make my ass look fat? But seriously, I needs to securify my valubilities

I've been thinkin about putting a little lock box somehow under the passenger seat. I don't know what size or how I would secure it. I just hate how easy it is to break into old civics!!
  • -so- Can an Integ or Accord latch be installed in a wagon glovey? I'm terribly worried about the safety of my Jim Nabors CDs

I'm sure it could with a little bit of mod of your glove box. But then wouldn't you need to carry around that car's key with you to lock/unlock it?

you could swap over all the locks and ignition from the glove box donor car, but then who would go through all that?
  • I think I can manage to haul a whole extra key around
