Tranny fliud rt4wd?

what kinda trans fluid and what weight for my rt4wd manual trans, some people say 5w30 motor oil, and others say gear oil am not really sure, my second gear grinds a bit at high rpms so i want a good fluid that might help a bit weather is gear oil or motor oil. on my gsr tranny i used pennzoil syncromesh for gm and the gears were kinda stiff but am not sure if it was because of the short shifter or if it was the fluid, anyways thnks
