a .75" - 1.5" gap between fender/wheel is perfect imo. anything lower is to low.
Bigger tires do the job better! I'm rolling on some 195/60R15s and a mild drop (no more than 2") would stuff them nicely. I'd still have close to the original ground clearance, too. I'm not sure that I'll ever lower it, though. Too many plans to go places without pavement.
Too low is anything that stops you from getting where you need to go.
hahah!! Pretty much.. that or you smash your kidneys because your suspension is so stiff as a result of MOAR LOW!!! You should see my down pipe. It flat now.
Although it looks awesome, I cannot lower my precious wagon because of South Carolina roads. End of story. However, I do believe in shunning those who lower the AWD wagon because then what's the point of having AWD?

I doubt your roads are any worse than the salt belt roads that crack and pothole every winter and that hasn't stopped me. Sure I lost my first lip within 40 miles but if you aren't tearing things up then it's no fun.

too low is when your driving down the road in a simple lowered car about 1.5 inch and you look over and in the next lane is the driver of a car thats slammed so low you watch them grip the steering wheel so tight because as you go over the interstate bridge the car bounces so badly it looks like it would make your whole body hurt just watching the driver bounce up and down lol. But yet he or she thinks its worth it because the car is slammed on some 45 dollar ebay coilover about a half inch off the ground hahahaha see it everyday
i scrape with stock suspension, i'm considering a extremely mild drop(1.5" at most) just to help with fuel economy and handling. and it would also make it so i could use my lil' POS 2.5 ton jack that isn't tall enough now.

i know.. why would people waste an RT4wd when a 2wd can do the same job... you're not going though any snow with a slammed wagon 4wd or not
anybody want to trade a non lowered manual RT (maybe with snow, rally or mud tires?) for a stock wagovan?

People lower and slam evo's and sti's all day long and nobody says its pointless so why is it any different if an rt is lowered. Its not pointless or any more or less effective. I bought my rt4wd and its slammed and I live in the south so it will never see snow or bad roads so why not lower it

Plus, I like not getting raped by potholes, gravel or speed bumps.
