01-05 Civic Yakima bike rack on 88-91 wagon?

Would anyone know if an 01-05 Civic yakima bike rack would work on a 90 Civic wagon?? My wagon originally had a factory rack but is missing the cross bars.. So im wondering if it is possible to make an 01-05 Civic yakima rack work on it!

    No one ehhh??
  • Have you tried researching this first? Most of the bike racks are generally the same it is the feet that hook to the car that are different. You should check out the part numbers. There are websites that show you what packages fit which cars with certain feet. I think you are going to find that not everybody is going to own a 01-05 civic with a yakima rack to tell you if it is going to fit or not.

You'll just need new towers to mount the crossbars to the factory roof tracks. The Yakima fit guide will steer you toward the towers with hooks over the doorjambs- no bueno.

The ones on my wife's car are old stock to fit an Aerostar, found them on ebay for ~$25. There's a picture in her build thread, your rails are identical to the Aerostar, just shorter.

If the yakima's are like thule, then you only need to replace the pads where the rack hits the roof of the car, called a "fit kit"
