Abnormal's Wagon

My name is Ryan and I live in Suwanee (North Georgia).

I've had my wagon since about 2008. I don't have any pictures of when I first got it, but it was in very good shape: only minor dents and dings.
Year: 1989 Millage: 209,000 D15B2 DPFI OBD0 engine Auto Transmission Power Steering A/C

Everything is pretty much factory spec expect for the stereo and window tint (pictures are before tint).

Upgrades I would like to do, but probably don't have time or money:
New suspension bushings Coilovers Ditch the auto trans MFPI conversion and/or engine swap Possibly convert to manual steering Rear sway bar Big brake upgrade

If you look closely, dangling from the rear view mirror is an Elmo. For whatever reason, the car's name is Elmo. The only thing I can come up with is: if Elmo were to drive a car, this would be it  .

whats your plans as in upgrades..

I'd love to upgrade just about everything, but I'm in college and don't really have any money. I like the fact it is stock, but it definitely could use some more power (90hp :( ) and the stock brakes don't stop as well as I would like.

I guess right now I'm holding out to see how much longer the stock drive-train and power-plant last.

One thing I do need to fixed is the alignment. It pulls slightly to the left (drives me crazy after 4 hrs on the highway). The toe is correct, but it has a little camber and caster imbalances. New bushings and a camber/caster kit will be my first upgrade. Also, I would like to get shocks and springs; they are too soft for my taste.

For bushings, I was thinking about going with the energy suspension kit, but I wasn't sure if I should use honda bushing instead. Anyone have any suggestions?

In short, the suspension needs an overhaul.

Hey, Ryan. Looking good! It's almost a shame to modify your car. It's so cherry :D

Tell Skip hello from us, see you soon.

    More Pictures:

Only thing different is the window tint, which I did myself  . It was a real bitch to do, but it looks decent. The three rear windows have some bubbles, but at that point (last windows) I was out of swear words and thin on patience, so this is as good as it got. The tint makes a huge temperature difference in the Summer and looks cooler :D ; no more fish bowl.

    Some of my recent endeavors:

    New rear wheel bearings

Replaced old, decrepit rear trailing arm bushings. Makes a big difference in handling.

    820.jpg

Fixed hole in driver's seat. Not pretty, but much better than tape.

I didn't realize there was a meet. Not sure if I can come or not. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 10:15, so I'll see what I can do.

I got tired of pulsing front brakes, so I finally got some new rotors and calipers. I know I could probably have just got the rotors turned, but a while back I had replaced the brake booster. I didn't have it adjusted properly, and the front brakes got pretty toasty  .

I got the rest of the door trim painted, and also painted the wipers.
