Rear seat issue

My smaller sized rear seat fell out of it's place. I'm not sure how it fell out because It sure as hell won't go back in! CAn someone please tell me the trick to getting the two pegs (hinge things)back in the slots (connected to the other seat and the right wall? This is really making me feel stupid. :?

    where are the pics...
    ???
  • Thanks for asking me to take pictures because that prompted me to take a closer look. I discovered that there's a plastic piece on the wall side pin that comes off. You take that off, then put it in the slot. That enables you to insert the pin far enough in in order to slip the other side in. Then you put the plastic piece back on. I can't believe I didn't figure that out before!

yeah, just broke mine tonight, go figure!
  • I would guess you could find the right diameter PVC tubing from the hardware store, cut a little slot in it to fit over the pin and there you go. Jury-rigged 8) Seems like they could have just made the pin spring in instead. That's probably what those fancy cars do.

they go in the hole on the side of the car first, then into the centre chassis point. then you put the clips on first bit you put in

i have a few of these clips spare if anyone needs some
