Safety disclaimer. I accept no responsibility for you modifying you seats or restraint systems. This how to is for information purposes only. If you do decide to modify any thing regarding your seats or restraint systems error on the the side of overkill as far as welds, bolts, washers ETC...
Without further adieu...
Here's how I put Si seats into my wagon
Before pic of the stock seats.
1. Remove seat rails from seat.
2. Drill out 2 rivets and 2 spot welds. Should look something like this. Don't drill all the way through.
3. This pic shows all 4 locations.
4. I just held the rail in one hand and hit the bracket part with a rubber mallet. If stubborn put a cold chisel between bracket and rail.
5. Grinded surface clean and left over parts of spot weld flat. You end up moving this bracket about a inch back on the rail.
6.This "nub" needs to be grinded flat.
7. Looks like this.
8.Mount rail with remaining front bracket to seat. Mount this rear bracket to seat. Close small gap with Vise Grips. Prepare area for welding or Brazing. (wet rags covering seat etc...)
9. Welder broken, so I Brazed mine.
10. Finished and painted with rattle can black.
11. On inner seat rail. (The one with the auto seat belts attached) You need to elongate the rear mounting hole.
12. Safety first. You'll need to add a slightly bigger washer to this mounting bolt. You need to take the OE one off or it'll stick up too high. (at least I had to.)
13. Pic with washer. Finish mounting you rails to your new seat.
14. Mount you seats in your ride and enjoy.
Without further adieu...

I had a write-up on how-to put del sol seats in a 88 Civic HB awhile ago, I went a different route (cut off the mounting points of the railing, readjusted it and then rewelded them with the Civic HB mounting points), but your way seems a lot better
this looks like a better option maybe. then can move the seat further back
good thread 8)
