commando universal power lock kits

Has anyone tried a universal power lock kit? I have seen them on ebay or online, they just look kind of cheap. Anyone used one? I thought it would save me some time trying to source out a parts car and remove the existing power lock setup. Thanks!

There are good and bad actuators.. We have TL6002 here at work... average price is $5.50, I run them.. had them in my 1st gen civic for 11years and not one has failed.. The better choice is Spal. they come in a 5 wire (for central locking systems) or 2 wire (used mainly with aftermarket keyless/alarms/starters) or rear door applications. average cost is $9.50.. In my '89 I'm running the TL6002 aswell with a Pro-Compustar to control them aswell as a oem lock switch :)
