Gauge clusters?

What gauge clusters will swap into our wagons?
My problem is that I have a Type R motor into my wagon and the redline is a 8800-9000rpm, I cant see past 8k. It has all been converted to obd1 so I just need to know what will fit that at least has 9k on the tach.

  • I will try and find the links but a member on here has successfully swapped in a 96-00 civic cluster. Apparantly they go into any ef/ee easy, you just have to wire it up.

Clusters that go in easy are the civic and crv. By easy I mean they fit, still have to wire it up. Otherwise you shoud be able to use a civic 88-91 SiR cluster that has the 8000 rpm redline and reads til 9500. There is also the rare EDM scotland cluster that has the 9500 rpm tach and reads in MPH to 150. I think you have to do minor wiring work to make a jdm cluster work in a usdm car though.

    Links to sir cluster.

i have a 97 ITR in my CRX...not that hard, but kind of a pain. im not too great with electronics though, so keep that in mind.

It does fit, looks great, and adds a bit of OEM pimpness. the bezel has to be dremeled a bit to fit flush, the top tab has to be custom mounted, and an electronic VSS 3wire must be ran. oh, and each pin has to be carefully transfered. other than that, cake.

i did the RED mdel paint on the bulbs too, and it glows RED, matching my RSX CD player:)

can pick up GSR JDM clusters for $100 or less on ebay, and i might even be selling mine soon. i have a 97 XSi cluster with the RED glow...

let me know if ya interested, or need help with the install
