At low boost the whole entire way so I don't stuff to much CFM through the JRSC without a custom intake variable bypass valve. It should be decent gains throughout the entire RPM range.
Yes it is an expensive setup... but I just have them laying around anyway. Also I chose to stick with the D cause of the amount of free motors Ive picked up lately and the cost effectiveness.
I am glad to see a wagon being restored and not junked. I wish I could have kept my old white wagon after I bought it back but the military would not allow me to put another car in my name
Still trying to find the perfect suspension, getting the motor prepped and ready to go, upgrading the rear brakes, new stainless brake lines, and tons more to go.
Well since taking multiple pictures of the grinding process is kinda worthless. I decided to just take the before and after shots. Remember that this is not the final product. The aluminum manifold will be coated with a high temp coating.
Before
After
The whole grinding, sanding process was to easy and only took me about 15 minutes to do. A trained monkey could does this. :nyah
Maybe tonight I will wrap the turbo manifold or something..
nice sanding and polishing?
i wanted to do something like that if its what i think i see correctly in the picture.
can you show or tell us the supplies u used and how it was done?
Well I just used my Dewalt Heavy-Duty 4-1/2" (115mm) Small Angle Grinder with a stock grinding disk and then smoothed it out with a basic flap wheel.
Sorry to say but, I will not be keeping the polished look.. I plan on not only giving it a heat resistant coating but at the same time be trying to disguise most of the engine bay with a flat almost stealthy like appearance. I am trying to keep peoples eyes out of my engine bay at the track and on the streets.
The reasoning.. I don't know about you guys but I like it when people tell me my car is ugly and automatically think it is slow. So part of the whole idea for me to restore it is to still make people think that what I am driving is a piece of junk. Most people flock to shinny big things and unfortunately that is not the attention or the response I want. I don't need another reason to shoot a thief. haha

Well at first glance a couple months ago I wasn't able to see a couple of the cracks in the exhaust housing... so needless to say I'm pretty pissed off. But ya win some and ya lose some I guess.
But thats not all. I knew the studs had to be replaced because the seller informed me that the shop that removed the turbo, broke them all. On top of that, it the manifold was tarnished and all scratched up. It wasn't a big deal for the money I payed at the time because I knew I could fix it up. But again, if I knew the housing was cracked I probably wouldn't of purchased it.
Still some minor work to do. Also, we just found out that we are having our 4th child.
congratulations dude!
Thanks !!
Well I had the always fun task of searching for belts store to store that I can use for the Jackson Racing Super Charger today. Even though the belt seems like an easy to find item it certainly wasn't. You'd actually be surprised on how many shops just carry the size right before and after the one I needed.
Anyway, the one place I should of looked first... mostly because its a sneeze away from where I live, actually had something similar to it. Matter of fact it is only 1/8 shorter !! haha
So if your ever looking for a Bando #4PK1220 you can probably use the Gates #K040476 and just adjust your tensioner accordingly.
Another note.. Still building the A6 but for the time being I will use one of the Z6 I have because I'd like to get this project moving along just a little faster.

Ill keep that in mind.
Nice work!!!!!!
I was just thinking, man if your going through that much work you should at least flare the rear quaters out a bit. Then I see that last few pix.
That should look wicked. What size wheels are you going to stuff in there. You know Hoosier offers a 275-35-15 Somebodys getting serious here.
