side view mirrors

Im new to the wagons and wanted to know if it was common for the wagons not to come with the passenger side view mirror. The guy i bought my wagon from said the wagon came without one and he found one in the junkyard but had a hard time finding it just wondering if i have a rare piece or not.I still have the factory block off plate that was on there before he put the mirror on.

The right mirror was optional, as it was on a lot of economy cars of the era. I'd say 50% of the wagons I've seen had one. That percentage may be skewed somewhat since nowadays I see a lot of "fixed up" wagons. In fact, of the five I've owned. only ONE came to me with the mirror, BUT I've also had/bought/sold 6 rh mirrors in the 2+ years I've been a wagonista.

You wouldn't happen to have one now or know where to get one locally would you? My buddy just got a wagon and is looking for a passenger mirror. He is also looking for some rear speaker pods. (This is John who sold RevMaynard the transmission).

Hey, John! In fact I do have one, and a bunch of other goodies but no pods right now. Who bought a wagon?

Just a friend of my mine who's starting college this year and was needing a more reliable car than his 320k mile automatic 90 4dr DX. So, I got on craigslist and found him a 5 speed wagon with 69k original miles and then I talked them down from $2900 to $2000. So, he bought it and he's in love with the thing now... and I'm pretty much in charge of educating him on automotive maintenance and repair.... LOL. I'll give you a call sometime this week.
