my junkyard trip to Hockenheim, Germany

i wouldnt say it was a fail per say, but it was close. not one EF :cry: but there were like 3 EG hatches and a Logo, which was pretty tight.

anyways i got enough EG random junk to last a lifetime lol.
i did manage ONE rear fog.. from the Logo. its got different mounting hardware then the EF but the surround shape is the same if anyone wants to fabricate it up. we'll see.

personally the best "parts" i got are the Owners manuals and booklets i took from an EG and the Logo =)
80% of these cars did not need to be here. one EG only had 74K km (~46K mi) on it. and as i was pulling parts, some guy drove in a Ford "Vanlette" that was prolly no older the 7 years old, perfect running vehicle and they scrapped it right there.

    that's so wierd that they junk cars less than 10 years old.
    to bad there were no EF's... i hate that.

    i was thinking about it 'cept it wouldnt fit anything.

    there are a lot of other things i wish i could have pulled, had i had more TIME and way more €€€€

    Those cars are there because the German goverment gives a large amount of money (up to 2500 euro's) for owners who buy a newer car. A stock EG is worth around 1500 euro's so alot of them get scraped because that way the owner gets the most money. Do you happen to have visited more junkyards in Germany?

    this same yard had about 5 EFs and a CRX last year when i went. that was fun :mrgreen:
