any pics of your custom speaker installs

i was thinking of getting a shop to make a really nice oem looking box to house the 6x9 alpine speakers in the rear of the wagon. just not to sure where i should have them done. i did see in a pic in the past that someone had some custom 6.5 inch in the roof. i thought that was tight but that seemed very expensive and alot more room for error by the installer. but i wanted to have it out of the way but sound very nice.

i wanted to see if any of you out there could post pics of what custom speaker and locations u guys have done.

bungie cords + free speakers = sounds better than no speakers.

plus, i never lock the car and rarely roll up the windows - i've had this "setup" for a couple years now and nobody's jacked them yet. i'm sure they'll either be stolen or blown someday, and then i'll just do the same thing again. free amortized over any number of years makes good financial sense...
  • Jhota: as long as you got tunes that is all that matters man!!!

Here are some old pics of the white wagon system before I sold it (minus stereo of course). The Wife's Red wagon is getting some updated stuff and I will post pics of it when it is finished.

    here you go.

  • i used to have pretty nice systems in the wagon - twice. they were both stolen.

the best setup i had was a Sony headunit, JL Audio separates front and rear (2 sets in front, rear in custom enclosures), a pair of 8" JL Audio subs and Blaupunkt Velocity amps. that got jacked (except for one amp), all the way down to the headunit and cabling! i ended up having to replace the rear door that they broke the glass out of, because the door was damaged enough the quarter glass couldn't be replaced.

the other system i had, they only got the rear speakers and sub, but i pretty much swore off big systems at that point.

i am considering a stealth sub install below the passenger seat, though. i miss having some thump.
