Crx Front End Cover

What up fellas. Here's a little back story: I've got this front end cover that my pops gave me back in the day. He ordered it from somewhere in 1988 when he bought his CRX. He was big into autoxing back in the day, still is a bit, but not like he used to. Anyway...I've got this cover that was apparently marketed to auto-x/road racers but I cannot find any information on it. I can see where there was a sticker on it, but that is long gone and all that is left is the residue. Anyone got any information on this or seen anything like this? I posted it up on H-T and have had no luck. I've been searching for years and have turned up nothing on this thing.
Here it is, a bit dirty.

And here is a quick pic I took just sitting on the front of my sedan. Sorry for the terrible quality, I just snapped it quick on my BB

I'd love to man...but I am yet to get a wagon.
I cleaned it up and actually took a pic with my camera. I think it looks pretty tight.

  • They used to advertise those in the back pages of AutoWeek magazine in the '80's and '90's. They were a shield to prevent rock chips and such. It was an alternative to the nose mask. They were somewhat expensive (about $295 I think). There is still a company that makes them for RV's. It's cool to see a Honda one, although I'm sure it would fit the CRX nose a little closer.

You are kick ass. At least now I've got a starting point to start looking for the manufacturer. Thanks man! And you are right, I'm sure it will fit a CRX nose better than my sedan. I just don't know anyone that's got a CRX anymore to test fit it on there.

Pm'd...and you are a LONG way away from me. That sucks! I would definitely be down to do something with it, just not going to be paying a shitload for shipping it back and forth somewhere and it would be near impossible to find a legit place, capable of doing it around my parts.
