+++SiWagon Ideas:Center Consoles & Armrest Ideas

This way be updated from time 2 time.
There are a lot of interchange options for this.JDM Front Lower console,OEM Armrest to 1's out of other Civic's & Tegs.If you got pics of your modded consoles feel free to post them here to centralize it.

'92-'95 Civic EG's (nice cup holder)should work.
'96-'00 EKCivic's(has 2 cup holders in 2 styles),but takes a lot of trimming.
'94-'00 Integra .Need a transition piece, but can probably made to fit better by contouring it to the Wgn.lower console.
Certain wgn w/the big seat belt can't use certain armrest (width probs).

'96-'00 Teg Center console/armrest(bretrutan).Can probably made to fit better by contouring it to the Wgn.lower console.Link to DIY Legit Integra Console Swap:

this probably wont work with the wagons with automatic seatbelts. those two modules take up a lot of room in the middle. just wanted to throw that out to some people.

and i heard of some guy who tried it that had problems of the center console not lining up. has anyone tried this yet in the wagon? if so, we need to get some pics and a how-to so people know what they're going to run into

:? The '88-'89 wagons didn't have the "BIG BOX " belts.
    Thx.

i am in the process of making this work and wagons and hatches have a different dash heaight so it needs more than trimming but it seems it can be done and yes my wagon is a 88
  • i have done this with a DC teg console. the bottom of the console under the dash has a huge gap and also gaps on the sides below the radio. other then that with a few brackets made out of sheet metal the rest fits well. ill get pix up after i put a new radio in.

  • Gotta revive this. Any updates from tried and true armrests that'll work? Let's see your pics.

I've got the blue/tweed interior so I'm assuming I'll have to do some junk yard searching for a while to find anything that *might* work.

Laugh you may,but it actually doesn't look that bad since it's the right color except for my ghetto seat cover.

haha JDM, that JDM crap is soo over rated!

i have one cup holder in my car, just the stock on connected to the door. but a center console would look better and more comfortable with an armrest.

JDM maybe overrated, but it's not going to stop people buying JDM parts.

I'll contiue with this thread. I have a freind that had a 91 4-door with the autobelts, everyone said that you couldnt use the gsr console due to the seatbelts. His solution? Switch the boxes around and bam, enough room for a console. Just a little FYI.

What about putting them on the outsides near the door panels?

Time to revive this... I have a GSR center console that I'm trying to put in the '91 wagon and the auto seatbelt devices are driving me nuts. I can't flip them on the same seat - can't get them to actually bolt on because they push out from the seat, and I can't switch the sides they go on because of the same issue. I need some help with this, my wagon's in a state of disassembly. :(
  • Tried searching and found this thread, will an eg console fit into my 1990 dx m/t? Thanks
  • SiWagonSiWagon Council Member
I'm pretty sure it bolts in,but the cupholder is too far forward to be used except for Expresso or water cooler cups.
The other prob is if it's a eg w/arm rest that may interfere with the 90+ passive belt.

For a cup holder, I used the container from a Play-Doh 3 pound pack (originally from Target). It is bright yellow, but that suits me fine. I used 2 small bungee cords to hold it in place right in front of the ashtray (I don't smoke anyway) and I rolled up some fabric and put it behind the bottom to keep it from tilting back. It fits 2 large drinks easily, and I can use the middle for my cell phone and some pens. I've used it with no problems for about 3 years. (I use a shorter ac adapter for my phone so it doesn't get in the way.)
