intake manifold ( vacuum hose ? )

Hi,
I have a 91 wagon, stock d15b2,, I rebuilt the engine , but can't seen to get the car to start properly. It starts, then dies after a few seconds. This happens a few times, then won't start at all,, ( flooded ) . I replace the spark plugs with some dry ones and it does the same thing.. If I manage to keep it running for a minute or so , it holds it's idle, then it is fine.
Thanks.

does its die if your holding the throttle or just on idle? you can ajust the idle air screw on the throttle body or tighten your throttle cable just a little.

It dies even if it is at 4000 rpm, it just cuts out. I have checked the tension on the throttle cable and it's good, air screw is fine. Could it be the ECU? My engine light is on and I am pretty sure the the ECU is shot. I was thinking of replacing the ECU along with the intake manifold, and the wiring? But I don't want to bite of more than I can chew... lol
    Thanks for your help.
    Any advice will be apriciated!!!

i could be a few things it could be your fuel pump or your fuel relay if you car is obd0 start it till it gets the check engine light and look on the top of your ecu and tell me how many times the red light blinks, it could also be your dizzy but get back to me on that.
