wagon doesn't want to stop driving!

my wagon has friggin issues. it doesn't want to stop being driven. i park, turn the key off and take it out of the ignition. she keeps running. heart of gold i tell you, but very temperamental.

so when i turn the car off it keeps running until i pop it out of gear. as soon as i put it in neutral, it turns off. i really don't care what the deal is, i just think it's strange. it's been doing it for over a year. i'm gunna guess it's because i have the clutch safety switch bypassed. meh.

Sorry to hear the wagon is playing tricks on you.

Right now my Lada is doing the "engine run on" thing once I cut the ignition so I can empathize. I figured out I need to wait for the engine to return to slow idle before I turn it off... then the engine just quits normally and doesn't run on.

Ain't no such thing in a Russian car... so it isn't even an issue.

hey seen this in a buddys ef and it was due to the the reverse lights on tranny wired backwards. hope this is what it is for you too.
